Of course, we don’t make just one day of it there is a full calendar of events surrounding the date. It is almost mandatory that one samples a green ice-cream or Guinness on the day too     Wander Wild Festival - April 17th – 19th   Ireland’s great outdoors festival provides something for all abilities. From food trails to guided ascents of Ireland’s highest peak, live podcasts to fun runs and kayaking this is a great way to spend a weekend.     Rally of the Lakes – May 1st – 3rd   Considered the jewel in the crown of Irish rallying, witnessing the skills involved navigating their way through spectacular valleys and glens is sure the get the adrenaline pumping.     Run Killarney- 9th May   Run 10K or a half marathon through one of the world’s most breath taking and scenic routes.     Ireland Bikefest- May 29th – 31st   Celebrating 20 years in 2026, Bikefest is a must attend annual international festival attracting motorcycle enthusiasts in their thousands from all over the world. One of Europe’s premier free festivals consists of 3 days of motorcycles and music.     Killarney Celebration of Irish American Friendship- July 4th   This annual festival celebrating all things American includes free live music, street celebrations and parades and is a must see for the whole family     Killarney Racing Festivals   Against a spectacular backdrop of Mountains and Lakes the Killarney Racecourse festivals run in May, July, August and October.     The Kerry Way Ultra- September 4th – 5th   Ireland’s most scenic Ultra 200km, 100km & 60km across the Iveragh peninsula starting and finishing in the Killarney Racecourse, sees competitors from all over the world compete in this physically gruelling race     The Hardman Killarney August 29th   Begin with a swim in the famous Lakes of Killarney before cycling the full length of the legendary Ring of Kerry, followed by a full marathon through Killarney National Park     Christmas in Killarney   This magical annual festival is as popular with locals as it is with tourists. Killarney, County Kerry is a fantastic base before, during or after the Ryder Cup event with numerous award winning golf courses plus a great selection of restaurants and bars and acres of beautiful National Park to explore if time allows.    Our two luxury glamping locations are within walking distance of Killarney Town and approximately 90km from the Ryder Cup itself (70 minutes to 180 minutes on a normal day). Free private parking at each location and Killarney Glamping Ross Road overlooks the picturesque Ross Golf Club with exclusive rates for our guests.
